Appearance

The background colouration of the trans pecos rat snake is a grey, yellow or dull golden colouration. Om this are black H shaped markings along the back of the snake. The snake also some irregular blotches of faded black along its side. This is a relatively slender snake with a large head and "bug eyes".

 

Locality

Texas, New Mexico, Mexico.

3-5ft

 

Approx lifespan

Upto 20 years.

30x15x15in.

 

Basic set up type

Desert/savannah. Provide hides in both the warm and the cool end.

 

Diet

A diet of rodents is best for the Trans Pecos Rat Snake.
