Appearance

A buff, grey, tan or yellow background colour is marked by a series of dark spots which merge on the top of the snake into an irregular stripe. The head of the rogh-scaled sand boa is flattened to aid burrowing.

 

Locality

The savannahs of India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

 

Adult size

About 2ft for females, with males being smaller.

 

Approx lifespan

12years+.

24x12x12in.

 

Basic set up type

Desert set up with deep (3in or so) substrate for burrowing.

 

Diet

The diet for the Rough-scaled Sand Boa should be made up of rodents.
