The rough green snake is a slender green snake with keeled scales.

REcomended vivarium size

18x18x24in (2ft high) for a single specimen.

 

Basic set up type

A densely planted (real or fake plants) vivarium is required by this arboreal species. Use wooden perches secured in place surrounded with dense leafy plants. Water should be provided in droplets off the plants rather than via a waterbowl.

 

Diet

Unlike most snakes, the Rough Green Snake requires regular (3-4 times weekly) meals of gutloaded insects. These should be dusted once weekly with calcium powder.
