The red coachwhip is a long relatively slender colubrid which is red or pink in colouration. In some specimens this colour may gradually become more of a tan colour towards the tail. The neck of the red coachwhip is often marked by darker bands.
California, Nevada, Arizona.

12 or occasionally more years.
This is a large active snake which requires a large vivarium if you want to keep it happy (if this isn't your goal, don't keep one), for a mature specimen 6x3x3ft should be considered a bare minimum, something like 8x3x3ft would be more appropriate.
Dry grassland with some sturdy branches so the snake can choose to climb should it wish to. Make sure hides are provided in both the warm and the cool end.
A diet consisting of rodents is best for the Red Coachwhip.
