Appearance

The mexican milk snake is a stout bodied snake with a tricolour pattern. The colours are red, white/cream and black. They go in the order of a thick red band, a thin black band, a thin white/cream band and finally another thick black band. This pattern is repeated over the length of the body. In general the width of one set of black/white/black is the same width as one red band.

 

Locality

Texas, Mexico.

2-2.5 ft.

 

Approx lifespan

Up to 15 years.

24x12x12in.

 

Basic set up type

Arid grassland. Hides should be placed in both the warm end and the cool end.

 

Diet

A diet consisting of rodents is best for the Mexican Milk Snake.
