Appearance

Adult green tree pythons are bright green, containing irregular dorsal clusters of white scales (some specimens display a stripe). Hatchlings are brick red/yellow, the colouration changes into the adult colouration very quickly.

 

Locality

North eastern Australia, New Guinea.

4-6ft.

 

Approx lifespan

12 years+.

24x18x24in.

 

Basic set up type

Humid forest, good ventilation is essential. Use sturdy branches to provide perches and dense foliage (real or fake) to provide cover.

 

Diet

The diet of the Green Tree Python should be made up of rodents.
