Appearance

Brazilian rainbow boas are a rich orange/brown background with large dorsal spots outlined in a dark brown/black colour. Dark dorsal pots are highlighted by crescent shapes in a pink colour. The colouration tends to become richer with age. This snake shows a large amount of iridescence.

 

Locality

Tropical Brazil and surrounding countries.

5-8ft.

12years+.

 

REcomended vivarium size

4x2x3ft should be considered the minimum

 

Basic set up type

Humid forest. Provide thick sturdy branches and thick foliage to provide cover.

 

Diet

The diet of the Brazilian Rainbow Boa should be made up of rodents.
