The african rock python is a large boid with a beige/tan background covered with brown/olive blotches. This species is sometimes confused with the Burmese python.

A 6x3x3ft vivarium should be considered a minimum for this large boid.

 

Basic set up type

Dry grassland or woodland. Provide secure branches for climbing.

 

Diet

Rodents for younger African Rock Pythons and rabbits/piglets in later life.
