Appearance

The african egg-eating snake is a small slender colubrid with a relatively rounded head. This snake is primarily brown or grey in colouration, with darker blotches running the length of the snake (this is less noticable in darker specimens).

Thought to be about 8years.

 

REcomended vivarium size

A 24x12x12in vivarium is ideal for a single egg eating snake.

 

Basic set up type

Woodland, provide 2 secure feeling retreats, use back chips or paper toweling for substrate.

 

Diet

A diet consisting of eggs of the appropriate size (quail eggs are often favoured) is best for the African Egg-eating Snake.
