Appearance

All green water dragons are (suprise suprise) green, some show lighter bands of colouration running from the prominent spine to the belly. Most specimens show darker bands of colouration on the tail.

 

Locality

Southern Asia.

 

Adult size

2-2.5ft.

 

Approx lifespan

Upto and occasionally beyond 15 years

 

REcomended vivarium size

3x3x2ft vivarium, height being just as important as length, if not moreso.

 

Basic set up type

Tropical forest with sturdy perches and climbing opportunities.

 

Diet

Gutloaded insects, some green water dragons will take fruit and vegetables, if they will they should make up a small percentage (10-15) of the diet. Insects should be dusted weekly (more often for growing youngsters) with calcium and a reptile multivitamin.
