Appearance

The green anole is a small thin lizard which is obviously streamlined for a life in the tree's. It has a long thin tail and an slightly widened elongated head with prominant eyes. They are capable of limited colour change (down to temperature and stress) and are generally all over green, brown or a shade inbetween.

North Carolina to Texas

4-6yrs.

 

REcomended vivarium size

A 18x24x18in (LxHxW) vivarium is suitable for 1-3 specimens, make sure you don't keep males together as they are highly territorial.

 

Basic set up type

Densely planted (real or fake) with branches and large leaves to perch on.

 

Diet

Green anoles should be fed gutloaded insects, they should be dusted twice a week with calcium and once a week with a reptile multivitamin such as nutrobal.
